Happy Halloween!
This week is my first Halloween! We got together with our neighbours and carved some pumpkins that we picked up at the Mountain View Farmers' Market and took these photos of me in my Halloween outfit:
I'm surprised how long it took my parents to take a picture of me with a bottle of wine... Finally! This is no ordinary wine, either... it is a Diemersfontein Pinotage that Oom Nico and Tannie Annerie bought for me at Woolies in South Africa. As soon as my mouth can open wide enough, I'll try it out! The other pics are just to give you an idea of what I do quite frequently every day: Lay on the changing table to get my diaper/nappy changed, and play on my little Einstein playmat. Just another day in paradise...
Well, I've successfully navigated my way through the first month of my life. So far... so good! I seem to be growing nicely too, as I visited the doctor on my one month birthday (Oct 12th) and weighed in at 10 lbs 3 oz and measured 23 inches. Soon I will fit better into all the cool clothes that my friends sent me.
Today was a beautiful sunny day in California (I am told there are many days like this over here...yah!). After breakfast I spent some time with my buddy the cow and then I entertained myself in my baby-swing while mommy and daddy had breakfast. Then we went for a walk to the Mountain View Farmers' Market. This was only my second time in the Baby Bjorn, but I like it! All this excitement was rather tiring, so I took a nice long nap when I got home.
Today was the first day of autumn rain in my short existence so far. I wanted to go play outside, but my parents said it's better if I play inside on my tummy. It's more fun on my tummy since I lost the remainder of my umbilical cord on Saturday.
