My first Thanksgiving

This past week was my first Thanksgiving. Mommy dressed me up in a comfy red shirt and khaki pants and I think I looked quite handsome (photo #1). We went for a yummy turkey lunch at Vani and Devasena's house in Cupertino. It was great fun meeting more new people. The weather is still amazingly nice here in the Bay Area, so we went for a long walk to downtown Mountain View on Friday and visited the new bakery, Neto, which I highly recommend for their delicious baked goods and rather nice coffee. We also went to Best Buy on Friday (called Black Friday) to get in on some of the after-Thanksgiving day sales. Needless to say, I was relieved to be back home to relax (photo #2).

C-H-I-C-O

This past weekend we visited the Snokes up in Chico. It is a very nice town about 4 hours drive north of where we live. Bob, Denise and Gabriella showed us around their downtown area and we also drove around and got a great idea of what Chico looks like. It is particularly nice now with all the fall colours. This photo of me and Gabriella (1.5 yrs old) was taken at Moxies where we had coffee and scones. Denise cooked us an awesome dinner with a Brazilian twist.

I went to the doctor for my 2 month check-up and shots this morning. I am in the 75th percentile with everything (weight, length and head circumference). I currently weigh 12 lbs 13 oz. I was given 4 shots in the legs and it hurt real bad... I almost yelled the roof off of the building. But I'm OK now.

2 Months old!

Yup - that's right... I am two months old!

C-H-I-C-A-G-O

I took my first trip outside California this past weekend as we flew to Chicago to visit with the Lamberts. Flying is fun! As you can see from the pictures, Chicago is a cold place and I had to dress very warm when we went outside. My friend on the photos is Cezanne. She is 4 months old. We went for lunch at the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Center in downtown Chicago from where the photo of me & my dad was taken. The tall building in the distance is the Sears tower - which is the tallest building in America. We had a great time.

The onset of winter

It's starting to get a little cooler now with winter approaching, and this means I have to dress a little warmer than before. Here I am with my Naartjie outfit... thanks aunt Mandy! If you want to see how strong my neck has become, take a look at this movie clip
(Warning: 5MB clip and the soundtrack is in Afrikaans)...
