Hanging out with Teddybok & friends

I had another fun week filled with new experiences. I have now almost doubled my birth weight and weigh over 16lbs (7.25kg). I am just about able to sit on my own and I've started to practice sitting in my new high chair while my parents eat dinner. We had lots of friends visit this week too - on Friday evening we had a nice get together with the Svendsens, Sinclair-Lees and Griffins. There were lots of children and dad commented that things sure have changed... not sure what he meant...? Here are some pictures:

The Svendsens visit CA

Gus, Erin, and Grant Svendsen are visiting California all the way from Florence, South Carolina. The last time I saw aunt Erin was when I was 1 day old and I had never met uncle Gus before. He's tall! Here's a picture of me with Grant (9 months) playing on the carpet. It was very nice to have a friend over.

My first day at daycare

Today I went to daycare for the first time. It was a lot of fun, although my Mommy was crying when she left me there, which made me sad too. But we both know that this is going to be a good experience for me in the long run. All the caregivers are very nice and played with me, fed me, and let me have naps when I needed to. I look forward to this new adventure and big step in my life..! My latest tricks include a) stuffing as many toys along with both my hands into my mouth (photo), and b) learning new moves and strengthening my legs and back in my exersaucer.

Cold days in California

This week saw record low temperatures in Northern California. Right now, 8:20am it is 32 degrees Fahrenheit (Zero degrees celsius) and occasionally temperatures dropped below freezing. This did not prevent us from taking an early morning walk to Clock Tower Coffee Shop for coffee and muffins. This picture of dad & I was taken outside our apartment when we returned from the walk. For those of you in REALLY cold places... this is as "bad" as it gets here!

4 Months old!

That's right... I am 4 months old today.
I weigh 15lb 10oz (7kg) and I am 26.5 inches (673mm) tall.

Christening

My cousin Albert and I were christened on the Sunday before Christmas. There is a large white tent that serves as the church during the December holiday period at San Lameer. It was warm and muggy inside the tent, but Albert and I behaved well and the service went down without a glitch. Here we are with our moms, dressed in our christening outfits shortly after the church service. Very cute if I have to say so myself.

My first swim

It is summer in South Africa, so I was able to enjoy my very first swim with dad. Here we are in the main pool at San Lameer on the South coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Swimming is LEKKER!

Grannies & Cousins

We're back from a wonderful trip to South Africa. The highlight for me was all the family and friends that I got to meet for the first time. Here I am with my two grannies and all my cousins.
