Loving it!

I have always enjoyed standing - with a little help from anyone willing to give a hand. But it is even better being able to stand and play at the same time. This is me in my exersaucer.

I spent the day with my dad. We watched South Africa play against Australia in the Cricket World Cup. Unfortunately our boys did not win but they made us proud.

We just hanged out today. Although it will only be the start of spring on the 21st, it feels like it already.

Sippy cup

Now that I am 6 months old, I need to start getting the hang of using a sippy cup. It is quite a challange because it is definitely not the same as a bottle, I get juice instead of milk and I am expected to hold it myself.

At the moment just chewing on it, seems like the most fun I can have with it. Maybe I'll change my mind later.

6 month check up

We visited Dr. Halpin again yesterday for my 6 month check up. I now weigh 17 lb 3 oz (which is 7.9 kg) and am 27 inches tall. According to the growth chart I am in the 75% - which is just perfect!

6 months old!

I will be 6 months old tomorrow! I thought this day will never come, but it is finally here. It was a glorious Californian spring day with plenty of sunshine. We spend our Sunday next to the pool and at the park.

Google

Our Aussie neighbours, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Sarah, took us for a tour of Google last night. We also had dinner at one of their restaurants. Even though I only had my bottle, my mom and dad were impressed. I am finally big enough to wear the beanie they bought me when I was born, so I looked as if I belonged there.

New things

My mommy tells me I am getting heavier than a pile of rocks and that she cannot haul me around in the infant car seat anymore - so we went shopping over the weekend and now I have my very own big-boy car seat. I also started helping out around the house - here I am giving a hand with the laundry.

Guys' weekend!

My mom treated herself to a well-deserved day at the Spa today with aunt Mandy and aunt Michelle. This meant that dad and I got to spend the day together. We watched a lot of golf on TV and also went to the park where I got to experience a swing for the first time. It was a lot of fun and my parents will have to take me to the park more often.
