Summer
I am enjoying the summer with walks in the park and spending time with my friends. We visited Discovery Kingdom again today and I had so much fun with Sully and Grant - and kept our moms busy!
Visitors
I had a great weekend spending time with my girlfriend, Clara. She came to visit with her parents, Chris and Bri, this past weekend and it was just like the old days, living next to them in Mountain View. And as if the excitement was not enough, one of my dad's MBA friends, Craig Landsberg, was also in town for a conference. We had to go to bed before the grown-ups had dinner, but from the leftovers I had the next day, they had a great dinner!
A day at Discovery Kingdom
We joined the Svendsens for a fun Father's Day at the Discovery Kingdom park. We saw lions, elephants, tigers, giraffes, sharks, walruses and a show with a dolphin and a killer whale. I had the best time looking at all the animals and playing with Grant.
My big-boy bed
I loved my big-boy bed the moment I first saw it, but even with all the excitement I still kind of preferred my crib. I will admit, it took a little bit of tears and agonizing but I am finally ready to become a big boy. I have had 4 successful naps and 2 evenings in my new bed and things are looking up!
Potty Training
I began potty training boot camp this weekend and it is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. In fact - I find my potty quite comfortable and enjoy the stories my mom & dad read to me while I'm "practicing". So far I've pee'd in the potty 3 times out of about 6 attempts. Every time I do it, I get a cool Elmo sticker! We also had the ice-cream van come down our street and Dad bought me a green ice-cream that I pretty much devoured. And the highlight of my day today was playing in the mud after there was a minor incident with the sprinkler system.
